I classify these printable Valentines "oops-I-forgot-it-was-Valentines day-easy-peasy-printable -bookmarks." For some reason I am overcome with Valentines this year (which is a complete 180 from previous years - my whole life even!). I have been dreaming about kiddo Valentines. Now, all designs for Valentines MUST be 8 year old approved...and apparently she does not share my sense of humor...BUT this one passed! And it has googly eyes! BONUS!

504 Main

This printable Valentine has a lot to like:
  • It is pretty cheap.
  • Supplies are easy to find
  • And it is quick to make!
Now, lets do it! We are running out of time!

SUPPLIES
Cardstock (white)
Printer
Scissors
Elmer's glue
Template (find it here!)
Googly/Wiggly eyes (I used basic eyes, but there are colored one, ones with eyelashes - be creative!)

Optional:
Hole punch
Ribbon or thread

Make it!
Print out the template on cardstock (there are four per sheet)

  • Cut them out
  • OPTIONAL: punch hole in one corner and thread 16" lengths of ribbon through
  • Place a small dot of glue on each googly eye.

  • Place the eyes on the heart.
  • All done. That took, what, 5 minutes - so easy and so stinkin' cute!

I am seriously obsessed with tote bags. I always have been. I NEVER carried a backpack in school...I always had a tote bag. Now I use them for everything, and they are perfect for shopping, the library, toys or whatever you need toted somewhere!

Once upon a time I lived in a quirky beach town where I could do just about anything I wanted to my house. Now I live in a new HOA-governed community and  I cannot paint my door crazy colors or have lots of "treasures" hanging out  on my porch...so its a good thing I love wreaths...because that is one way I can always personalize my entrance. And I do love a gorgeous wreath!

I almost ignored Valentines...but we have received such a fun reaction to my daughters idea for "Just Ducky Valentine's" that I thought I'd share. And, yes, I realize Valentines Day is right around the corner...but seriously these are SO EASY and take hardly any time to put together. (be sure to check out my 2016 ducks including FREE PRINTABLES!)

Simple novelty rubber ducks, paper tags and a pen are just about all you need for some seriously cute valentines.

In 1,000,000 years I would have never believed that I would have any deer, or rather stag heads in my home. Now of course this are glittery and fake, but nonetheless, this was not a home decor path I thought I would go down...but heck I live in Texas Hill Country now and there are deer everywhere and it is practically a decorating essential (like the Texas Star). Now if you are like me, you realize Christmas is just around the corner but you are not done decorating and just need a few more things...well, this projects could not be SIMPLER!!!! I promise.

Welcome to Tickled Pink!
I am so on the count down...5 days of school - that is it!
And then I have a first grader and a seventh grader!
I was pretty absent last week around...
there is lots happening and I have to put all of my focus on the real world around me...
but soon all will be well (fingers crossed!).
I do have to tell you though I am enjoying my "time off" from the computer!

I did share one of my favorite cheap and easy activities for the kids during the summer...How to Build a Cardboard Bride/Tunnel/Whatever you want!

It was crazy hair day and I had fun playing with that Hair DIY Hair Chalk again!

I'd also love for you to consider getting involved in a Simple Service Project like the one I did with my son to help end childhood hunger in the summer. This is one issue that tugs at my heart strings and if we all tried to do a little something it could really help some kids!
Did you know only 1 out of 6 children who receive free or reduced-price meals during the school year continue to receive meals during the summer months. Low-income families with children face even more challenges during the summer when they stretch their food budget to provide additional meals for their children." quoted from Odwalla Hunger in the Summer
I urge you to rally, create a food drive, and help!

Now for the really good stuff...

this week our SPOTLIGHT SELECTOR IS
Ruth from Farmgirl in My Heart
(I will be selecting the features next week...or Tickled Pink might just take a week off)
I am a long time crafted, DIY'er, and homeschooling mom. My days are chock full of projects, school books, and even some hands on science dissections. It's never a dull moment in our house. I love to crochet, need to get better with knitting, and try my hand at sewing. Paint is my go to for turning things from drab to fab. And when I finally sit down, it's always with a good book and strong coffee.

Now let's take a look at some of Ruth's projects!
A bureau that is better after
An upcycled Frame Tray
Sweet baby girl crocheted hat
Boy's room remodel

Go on over and say hi to Ruth!
If you are interested in being a Spotlight Selector leave a comment or drop me an email!

Just a note...you may see some bloggers getting featured more often. I am letting my Spotlight Selectors pick who they want...but we are trying to spread the love around!

I appreciate you coming by to linkup today!
