I truly do {heart} L.A.
You might think I am crazy, but this is my homeland...born and bred.
And, yes, that could also explain a lot...
So, I am off this week visiting L.A. and my family and friends.
We love coming to visit..it has been 4 years since we moved,
and I still really miss it...I know, call me crazy!
I thank you all for stopping by...please keep on coming,
but just so you know, the posts and commenting will be sporadic,
as my parents do not have wireless so I am sitting on a stool
with the Mac perched on to of a home copier,
praying I do not wake the kiddos.
Not sure what we are doing...
every time we visit my son asks to go to China Town...
Will we make it this time? Who knows?
He also likes to take Grandma and Grandpa
to Long Beach to play games at Shoreline Village
...yes that one is probably happening.
Disneyland is on the list, but we were just there.
So I am hoping the bribe of the new
and a round of miniature golf with only mommy
(Joe LOVES miniature golf)
will work instead...and I should be about $250.00 ahead.
I had a few posts already prepared...Pumpkin pancakes anyone?
See, I was just whetting your appetite with Sunday Stealing.
Regularly scheduled posting and commenting
will begin again at the end of the week.
Have a great week!
Holly...
Lost in L.A. and lovin' it!
Enjoy your time away Holly. Can't wait to hear all about it when you get home.
ReplyDeleteBeen to San Francisco and been to San Diego. I've never been to LA. Have a fun and safe trip!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time in LA! I hope you have a fabulous time to hold you over until the next time you get there!
ReplyDeleteI feel the way you do about LA to Texas, where my dads side of the family is.
And I think that the Diary of the Wimpy Kid just might hold them over!
Have a great time!! We will all be here when you get back!!
ReplyDeleteLaura
I've never been to LA, but I sure would like to take a vacation there! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week! My daughter loves Diary of a Wimpy Kid!!
ReplyDeleteHave fun in L.A., Holly! Sounds like a blast!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you so much for my lovely award -- you are as nice as pie!
I always miss CA this time of year, when the snow is looming! (NoCal girl here) The new Diary of a Wimpy Kid is high on my 9 year olds must read list right now and I make sweet potato pancakes with vanilla maple syrup - to die for! Hope you have a great trip!
ReplyDeletewelcome home to our fair city :)
ReplyDeleteI can't say that I feel the same way, but I wasn't born and raised there. Of course, I also don't understand why my mom misses New Jersey...
ReplyDeleteOH! And have a great time, duh. Where are my manners?
ReplyDeletehave a great trip! finally following you back now!
ReplyDeleteHave fun in the city!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time, Holly! Love the shot of the golf balls, by the way :)
ReplyDeleteNothing like going home...wherever that happens to be. Have a terrific time. You will be missed. Hope you just leave this all behind and relax with family. Oh yeah...and eat something really bad for you EVERYDAY! Holly at lifelaughlatte.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteHolly, have a wonderful visit! I love the pictures. I hope Joe takes what's behind door #2. Congrats on the awards, btw. Holly and Charisse gave me the great idea of putting them into a slide.com slideshow to save space. Thought you might enjoy that little tip-er-oo, since you're awards are stackin' up! Love ya, Jenn
ReplyDeleteI just went to LA for the first time back in August to meet a new co-worker. She is from Long Beach. I had the BEST TIME, loved LA and guess what-we went to Shoreline Village, I got the cutest purses and wedges at one of the shops for dirt cheap! And we ate at that restaurant on the Marina. SO FUN! Have a great time!
ReplyDeleteHave a fun and safe trip. I'll be patiently waiting for more.
ReplyDeleteHave an amazing time. Only been to LA once when I was 16. Would love to go back! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteStopping over from SITS and thank you for your comment on my blog!Enjoy, enjoy, your time away! I've never been and it looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time away and try to forget about the Blogosphere for a while. We won't forget you!
ReplyDeleteI think L.A is best when you explore the smaller cities and little treasures. Their are so many great cities surrounding L.A....that you will not even feel like you are in L.A. I love those little places...of course I love downtown L.A and the history and the Old Hollywood stuff. I learned a lot about those things when I was a wedding planner and had the opportunity to do some amazing things in some historical locales.
ReplyDeleteHolly
P.S. I did not take the golf ball photo, but it is cool, eh?
Just letting you know I stopped by and love your blog - & also joined the wedding blog as I'm 33 and NEVER been married! I'm hoping that blog and information will come in handy some day....ya know - soon after hell freezes over! ;-)
ReplyDeletePS - CA is on my bucket list to visit... LA, Hollywood, whatever - just wanna see CA
Oh have a great time! I am just a wee bit jealous, we had frost this morning!
ReplyDeleteAll my life I've wanted to visit L.A. Can't believe I've never made it there. Maybe someday!
ReplyDeleteI hope you and your family have a wonderful time!!!
ReplyDeleteCan not wait to see the Pumpkin Pancake Recipe!
MJ of Dirty Lil Confessions
We'll be in withdrawl while you're gone, but have a fantastic time!
ReplyDeleteI heard the Wimpy Kid author on NPR today, sounds interesting (though my kids aren't old enough to read yet and I haven't read them).
And I'm dying over here waiting on that pumpkin pancake recipe...a few times I've just put in some canned pumpkin & cinnamon, but somehow I'm sure that won't be anything like whatever you have in store!
Ah you are making me homesick! My mom still lives in Long Beach, MIL lives in Cerritos! I remember being pregnant, walking around Shoreline Villae with my mom and going into labor!
ReplyDeleteHm, I think I'm going to have to scrap about this! Hope you had a great vacation!
