Tickled Pink No. 24

504 Main

A craft...a recipe...a tip...a party...a short story...a  poem...
a  fashion find...a  favorite product...your favorite  post...
whatever makes  your blog  fabulous!
That is what Tickled Pink is all about
{and it does not have to be PINK}
*************************
I am Tickled Pink because...
well, just a little business first...
I am beat...the kids are sleeping, we are/were all sick. I am truly sincere when I say how much I miss being able to visit and comment on everyone's posts as regularly as I once did. I truly believe what makes blogging special is the interaction between bloggers. I have been just completely overwhelmed and feeling a little like a bad mommy, so I am slowing down even more...yes, that means I may be 8 posts behind in catching up to some comments, but it means I get to paint in the sunshine with my baby girl and eat Popsicles on the porch.
I am not sure why I feel guilty, but I do.
I appreciate you all.
*******
NOW...
It is time for the Monarchs to come to town! We celebrate it with a Butterfly parade - You can read all about it {HERE}, but in a nutshell, the kids swarm the streets for a parade to welcome the monarchs to their winter home. The kindergartners are all dressed as monarchs! Sweet and silly hometown goodness.
*******
It's apple picking time! Apple, cake, apple pie, apple sauce..
I am a happy girl. I especially love Honey Crisps!
*******
Three Speckled Hens Antique and Old Stuff is coming to a town near me. I am so excited. I always am drooling over the amazing fairs and flea markets I see in blog land...and now I get to go to one that looks FABULOUS! Anyone want to go?
*******
The October Project Party starts NOW -Friday OCTOBER 1 and runs for 2 weeks.
So, check out the vendors sponsors, pick your product,
double check the RULES and get your game on to try and
win $1500 in prizes. Yes, I said $1500!

Oh if you don't know Debbie,
you don't know what you are missing!
Debbie is full of life. Her blog sparkles, just like I imagine she does in real life. A witty and talented woman. Debbie brings a little joy to her piece of blogland with every post.

Debbie claims she has never been that crafty, but she has style and warmth!
BUT watch out if you give her spray paint...
you could end up yellow or blue...
oh yeah, she might mod podge you too!
*******
I just adore her mod podge magnificence on these
LARGE pots and these SMALLER pots with plant markers.
Aren't they cute!
*******
Did I mention she loves spray paint? Checkout how she gave her sweet bench a face lift.
******
Debbie knows how turn turn trash into chic treasure too. LOVE this mirror!
 ******
You will not be disappointed when you go visit Debbie!
But, before you go...
Debbie also has some great posts on blog topics {HERE} and {HERE} -
I love hearing what people think!
AND
Debbie also hosts a Before and After Party, every other Wednesday
AND
a Garage Salen' Party every weekend
**********************
Time Crafted is pretty crafty but also has some very cool stories. A few weeks ago her story about her brother conquering Mt. Everest was amazing, and this week, a story about her Grandma meeting Jerry Rice. It is a sweet tale about her grandma and also a reminder that September was ovarian Cancer awareness month and how we all should do what we can to educate ourselves on these diseases that take our loved ones.

Thanks Karen for sharing your stories and talent. She is also a night owl and we trade comments in the wee hours..although she is one awesome commenter! Go visit!
{I am hoping she'll show us a cute craft via a guest post!}
*************************
A long time blog pal Matty shared this story. It made my eyes well up a little bit and made me just stop to reflect. I have read little tidbits like this from time to time, but a little reminder every now and then freshens my outlook and attitude.
*************************
Michelle at So Wonderful, So Marvelous knows
how to tell it like it is and this POST of hers is sheer brilliance.
She poses the questions:
Are you happy for other people? Or just pissed at life?
*************************
You must go visit Bubblin' Over. Claudie's blog is like a fairytale all full of pink sparkly goodness...and this woman is one of the most thoughtful visitors you will ever meet!

  7. Hi Holly!!

Thank you ever So much for featuring my brother, Grandma & Jerry Rice and little ol' me! :> You had such nice things to say and I am most definitely Tickled Pink!!! :>:>:>

I'm going check out that DIY ezine...after I get a nasty bit of paperwork out of the way (its been taunting me!!), I'm itching to get inspired & get some fun home projects in the works.

And those pumpkin candlesticks & sweet white painted pumpkins are having me feel October...and I love that! :>

I am going to head to bed early tonight. I suspect those late nights (though I love them so!) contributed to both of us getting sick. But, the uber fabulous blogland will be both my break & reward for plowing through that paperwork and will surely make me smile!

Hope you & your fam feels better so very soon, paint rainbows, taste those icy delights!! :>:>
