  16. What a small world. Our annual tradition is spaghetti on Christmas Eve. However, we use sweet sausage instead of meatballs.

  17. Holly,

Thank you So much for featuring my journal cover! I am most definitely tickled pink!! :>:>

There has been some fantastic blog goodness out there and I loved hopping around to find it. I remember those too cute melting snowmen cookies and enjoyed all the great wreaths at wreath week. I can't wait to go check out some more........after I find the angel, waiting to go on top of our tree! (We only decorated it almost two weeks ago...without the missing angel! So, its one of my many missions to complete today! :>)

We wrap up school for 2010 in forty-five minutes. Hope you are having great holiday fun with your family this season. We definitely are. One of our favorite traditions we'll do next week....the annual Christmas lights drive. There's nothing like the oooo's & ahhhhh's from the kidlets!

    Happy Friday, Holly!

    :> Karen

  27. Holly, I love those melted snowman cookies! So, tamales, eh? You should talk to Krista (Benjamin's mom). She's a tamale master! I went to her house for a tamale making party a few New Year's days ago. I have a mega-sized stock-pot for steaming them if you'd like to borrow. Yeah, yeah, mention Mexican food and I get way off on a tangent. Well, thanks for another fab Tickled Pink. You're killin' me with the "Best Of". You gotta share your secret on how you stop time in order to get all your amazing projects accomplished. Tee hee! Jenn

  29. How funny! You mention tamales, I got tamales! Check out my blog today (or the linky) for a vegetarian version. You can easily "meat" them up well.

Also, thanks for the shout out! That brittle is really good. I've made three batches this week already for teacher gifts and Xmas parties. Yum!

    Have a great weekend!

  33. I love the shutter as a card holder. I mad a magazine rack and a memo board out of 2. I have 2 more in the garage. I think I'll do that next year. Now I'm gonna hop over and get a closer look at this wagon.

  34. Hi Holly =) We always do Mexican for Christmas, we love it and it's especially nice for all the families that also go to their in-laws for more traditional meals. That being said, tamales are a pretty big time commitment. We did it one Christmas and it was a delicious mess =) I don't know where you are but if there's a Mexican grocery store in your vicinity they will have the masa maybe already mixed to a good consistency, so you can play with fillings and keep it a bit simpler. And if you need a recipe send me a message and I can hunt mine up, although it's sort of a pitch and pour recipe instead of a precise one. =)
